Nadine Noreen Palmer

Nadine Noreen Palmer was born March 8, 1946 to George Jr. and Almarine (Boger) Gress in Denison, Iowa. She was baptized on August 18, 1946 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig, Iowa and later confirmed her faith on March 26, 1961 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa. Nadine graduated from Denison High School with the class of 1964.

On September 7, 1971, Nadine was united in marriage to Homer (Pete) Palmer in Miami, Oklahoma. To this union two children were born: Joel and Patrick. They made their home in a few places throughout their marriage starting in Omaha and then North Platte, Nebraska and on to Cheyenne, Wyoming coming back to where they met in Omaha.

Nadine was blessed to stay at home when her boys were young while "Pete" spent time working for the Union Pacific Railroad. Later, she worked in the accounts receivable department at Braddock Dermatology Clinic beginning in 2008.

Nadine was a loving and caring wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed and loved her grandchildren so very much. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was known to put together a Sunday evening dinner for the family that would keep them coming back for years. She enjoyed participating in the local Junior Women's Club and selling funnel cakes at Papillion Days and raising money for their efforts. She dearly loved her close friends and spending time with them at their wine nights and breakfasts and other special occasions.

With her family by her side, Nadine passed away on April 19, 2023 at home in Papillion, Nebraska at the age seventy-seven years old, one month and 10 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Almarine Gress; & sister, Georgia Mesesk.

Nadine is survived by her husband, Homer "Pete" Palmer; sons, Patrick (Jacqueline) Palmer, & Joel Palmer; grandchildren, Greyson, Gwendolyn, Whitney; brother, David (Patricia) Gress; sister, Phyllis (Dale) Segebart; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Committal Service will be at Omaha National Cemetery at a later date.
