Judy Ann (Biel) Plambeck passed away on October 19, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska at Echo Hills Memory Care Providence Place. She was 87 years old. Judy was born and raised on the family farm in Gretna, Nebraska and graduated Salutatorian from Millard Public Schools in 1954. The daughter of Bernard and Mildred (Bartels) Biel, she married her high school sweetheart, Loren Lee Plambeck, of Millard in 1956. She lived in Goeppingen, Germany from 1957-1959 during Loren’s service in the U.S. Army, and they traveled throughout Europe as newlyweds.
Judy was the office manager and bookkeeper of the family business, Plambeck Brothers Plumbing, and an active member of: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Sunday School teacher and Ladies Circle), Millard Lioness Club (past President), Millard Band Parents Association, Two Left Feet Dance Club, and the Gretna Card Club. She was a devoted caretaker and healthcare advocate for her husband in his final years, a loving mother and grandmother (her favorite pastime), a good friend to many, and an avid Nebraska Cornhuskers Football fan. A kind woman with a good sense of humor, Judy always spoke fondly of growing up on the farm and loved her horses and all the many cats and dogs, but not so much the chickens.
