Retired Sargent Vincent (Vince) C. Moulter, Jr. 67, of Las Vegas, NV, born in Bryn Mawr, PA on June 26, 1955 and raised in Devon, PA. went to be with the Lord on November 24, 2022 at his home in Las Vegas, NV.
Vince was formerly of Downingtown, Pa, and formerly of Belcamp, Maryland. He was a devoted, loving son of his late parents, Vincent and Florence (nee DiOrio) Moulter. Vince devoted four years of his first retirement years taking care of his ill mother whom he loved dearly.
He was a devoted brother of the late Patricia Fortunato of Honeybrook, of his surviving siblings, Kathleen Moulter of Exton, Francis Moulter of Morgantown and loving Uncle of Fayth Victoria Anne Kelly, Exton and Lisa Ann Moulter, Devon.
He also served in Kosovo from 1999 to 2000. Vince was the Regional Chief Public Information Officer, a highly respected position for the United Nation Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK).
Vince was a dedicated veteran and served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer from 1975 to 1978, stationed in Ft. Dix, New Jersey.
After serving in the U.S. Army, Vince then started his civilian career at the Baltimore Police Academy and was employed as a police agent of Maryland, Sargent of Baltimore Homicide and various other positions for 25 years.
He was featured in the book, Homicide, a year on the killing streets, by David Simon, the classic book about homicide investigation that became the basis for the hit television show on HBO, The Wire.
After his retirement from the Baltimore Police, he started a new career at the Baltimore Port Authority and retired in 2012. After his retirement from the Port Authority he moved to Downingtown, PA to take care of his ill mother.
Vince also was a member of the Freemasons of Baltimore.
He loved Stevie Nicks and Bruce Springsteen music, horseshoes, casinos, kayaking , traveling, spending time with family and friends, doing good for others always and most of all, he loved and spoiled his dog, Max Jr. Vince was a caring, loving, kind, man and never complained of any illness of his own. He will surely be missed. Gone too soon.
A Catholic Mass will be held at a later time at St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Chester Springs, Pa and internment at a later time at St. Monica’s Cemetery in Berwyn, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, Donations can be sent to St. Elizabeth's Church, Chester Springs, Pa or The Wounded Veteran Association, or do something special for someone in need, in honor of Vince, as he was always giving to others and helping those in need.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, January12th, at 10:00 am from St. Elizabeth Church in Chester Springs. Visitation Thursday morning from 9:15 to 9:45 in Church. Int in St. Monica Cemetery in Berwyn.
