Sang Joun

Sang married the love of his life in 1974. Together they had three children: Kyung Joo, Jung Joo, and Dae. In 1991 their family moved to the United States. There his family expanded, and he became a grandfather for the first time in 2000.

Being a grandpa came naturally to Sang. He always went the extra mile to show his love for his five grandchildren: Hanna, Justin, Brian, Ashley, and Chelsea. His grandchildren will miss his smiling face waving them off as they back their cars out of the driveway.

Sang was strong-willed, sentimental, and loving. He loved the outdoors, gardening, animals, and spending time with his friends and family. His battle with serious medical issues in recent months showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile.

Sang is survived by his wife, Young Jae; their children, Kyung Joo and Jung Joo, Dae; his sons-in-law, Matt and Jae and daughter-in-law Kori; five grandchildren, Hanna, Justin, Brian, Ashley, and Chelsea.
