He left this world on May 31, 2021, at age 75. His long battle with heart disease showed his courage in facing life challenges with humor and a smile. Despite the struggles, Richard came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
He was born to John and Eileen (nee Kelly) Holck on February 28, 1946, in Brooklyn NY. After graduating from Erasmus Hall High School in 1964, he entered the workforce to begin a long and successful career. In 1967, he married the love of his life, Rosemarie DiMaiuta. Together, they had 3 children: Lynn Marie (Stu), Christopher, and Richard II. A strong and loving family, after leaving Brooklyn, they lived happily in Toms River, NJ, Pittsford, NY, Burlington, CT, Ellicott City, MD, and Wayne, PA. His greatest accomplishment was being “PopPop” to his two grandsons, Win and Ricky. Richard was an avid reader and lifelong learner who loved spending time with his family and friends.
Richard will be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Robert (Aiki) and Donald, and was predeceased by his sister Carole Mueller (George). He will also be forever remembered by his numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association on his behalf. Memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 17th, 2021, at 11 am at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church, Wayne, PA.
