Phyllis G. Scott

Phyllis G. Scott, 86, of Berwyn, PA. and Naples, FL., passed away after a short illness at The University of Penna. Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. on September 11th. She was married to Willard Scott for 63 years and he will miss her terribly. She was the daughter of the late John Gilman and Anne B. Gilman of Hershey, PA. and sister of Patricia Ferucci of Anchorage, Alaska. She was the mother of Allysa Gatti of Haddon Heights, N.J., Craig Scott of West Chester, PA., and Sharon Brager of Richmond, VA. She is also the Grammy to

Grandchildren Chris, Madison, Catherine, Erica, Olivia, Corinne, Arden, Connor, and Nicole.

Phyllis, or Phiddy to many of her friends, was born in Toledo, Ohio and attended Devilbiss H.S. for two years before moving to Hershey, PA where she graduated from Hershey H.S. She then attended Bucknell University, where she met Bill in 1955, and graduated from in 1958. They lived in many towns and states before settling in Villanova, PA in 1973.

Phyllis's first love was her family and she knew everyone's activities day by day. She was a beautiful woman who combined beauty, intelligence, and wit and lit up the room when she entered. Besides her family she had many other interests. She loved traveling, and she and Bill went to many parts of the world. She also enjoyed gardening, playing bridge and golf. Phyllis also was a member of many community organizations including the Chestnut Hill Philadelphia Orchestra Committee, the Suburban Garden Club, the Junior League of Philadelphia and the Tri-Delta of Philadelphia group. She and Bill were also members of Aronimink Golf Club, Merion Cricket Club and Windstar Country Club in Naples.

A memorial service of Phyllis's life will be held on October 15th at 11:00 am at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, Bryn Mawr, PA. A light luncheon will follow at the Merion Cricket Club.
