Patricia Ann Richey

Patricia A. Richey, of Honey Brook PA, died on September 21, 2022 at Tel Hai Retirement Community. She was 89 years old. She lived in Chester County for many years and moved to Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook in 2003.

Mrs. Richey was born in Harrisburg. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in Nursing, becoming a Professional Nurse in 1955.

After retirement, she was a volunteer for many years at Tel Hai Retirement Community. She was also an avid Phillies fan, and those who loved her knew better than to try to visit or call during a game.

Mrs. Richey enjoyed traveling, history, and her turtle “Kelton” that she rescued and cared for over 50 years, who is currently being lovingly cared for in a wildlife preserve for the remainder of his days.

Mrs. Richey was predeceased in January 2021 by her loving husband of 61 years, Thomas, and predeceased by their daughter, Megan M. McGuire, who passed away in 2005. She is survived by her niece Gwyneth Negley Chobot and her husband Thomas of Susquehanna PA, nephew Scott Negley and wife Linda of Oklahoma City OK, and nephew Gerald Negley of Chapel Hill NC, as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Services and burial will be private at the Church of the Good Samaritan in Paoli.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Church of the Good Samaritan, Paoli, Negley Park in Lemoyne PA (named for Patricia’s father), or Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook PA.
