Maria Boni

Maria (nee Grimaldi) Boni “Mariella”, 54, born in Naples, Italy and living in Wayne, PA the last 18 years, passed away on Monday June 18, 2012. She was the wife of Dr. Joseph Boni and daughter of Elvira (nee Valiante) Maiese and Francesco Grimaldi.

Mariella was a remarkable and devoted mother, loving spouse and caring friend. Her charismatic and deeply spiritual nature was infectious and had a dramatic effect on everyone who ever met her. Mariella had a generous heart and unselfishly gave all of herself, even up to her final days. But most importantly, she had a passionate love for life and did not surrender even in her last moments.

Surviving her are two children, Vittoria & Massimo Boni; and one brother, Carmine Grimaldi. In addition to nieces and nephews residing in the tri-state area, also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins from Posillipo, Italy.

Relatives and friends may call on Fri. June 22, 2012 at Our Lady of Assumption Church: 35 Old Eagle School Rd. Strafford, PA. downstairs in the Chapel from 9-10:20AM. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30AM. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery; W. Conshohocken, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in “Mariella’s” honor to Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Arrangements are through the Alleva Funeral Home, Inc., Paoli, PA.
