Leonard “Len” Beard, Jr., 74, originally of Cumberland, MD and more recently of Berwyn, PA passed away peacefully on Friday June 17, 2016. Len was the loving husband of 54 years to Gladys (nee Martin) Beard and son of the late Theresa (nee Denmark) & Leonard Beard, Sr. Len served 6 years in the U.S. National Guard. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 41 years. Surviving are 3 children: Leonard “Lenny” Beard, III, Carla Beard & Carman Franks; 2 grandsons: Anthony (Kristinia) Beard & Thysen Beard and 1 great granddaughter: Teagan Mae Beard. Also surviving are 3 siblings: Etta (Preston) Green, Dianna Carter & Scherry (Marcel) Brown as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
