JOAN M. FULLAM
September 3, 1932 – April 9, 2020
Joan was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided with her parents, Richard and Gladys Dillman in Woodhaven, Queens, NY during her childhood. She was a graduate of Becker Junior College where she studied business. In adulthood, she was a homemaker, small business owner, corporate education specialist, as well as an administrative assistant at St. Isaac Jogues parish in Wayne, PA.
Joan was the dedicated and loving mother of six children, grandmother of twelve grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, following all of them in their activities, sports, and careers as their biggest supporter. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed walking, exercising, and decorating for holidays, but most of all she loved her family and her Lord Jesus and took every opportunity to share that love with everyone she met, including her family. As a devout Catholic, she spent significant time praying for family and friends, reading scripture daily, and joyfully sharing her faith with everyone she knew. She touched so many lives with her joy, laughter, and love of life.
Joan is survived by six children, Timothy J., husband of Kathryn Fullam of Chester Springs; PA, Michael P., husband of the late Kathleen Fullam of Phoenixville, PA; Patrick K., husband of Joann Fullam of Coatesville, PA, Kevin P., husband of Cathy Fullam of Warminster, PA; Thomas S., husband of Maryann Fullam of West Brandywine, PA; and Coleen A. Hillman, wife of Steven Hillman of Devon, PA; twelve loving grandchildren, Stephen (31), Mallory (29), Daniel (44), Joshua (39), Jenna (34), Julianna (23), Michelle (35), Samantha (24), Nathan (23), Joseph (20), Zachary (16), Olivia (15), and eight great grandchildren McKenna (12), Collin (10), Finnegan (6), Maguire (4), Emmeline (5), Sloane (1), Dylan (8), and Austin (5). She is also survived by her sister, Louella Purse.
There will be a private ceremony for the family at St. Monica’s Cemetery. Once restrictions are lifted for public gatherings, there will be a Funeral Mass for Joan at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Paoli, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Joan’s two favorite charities, St. Jude’s Hospital for Children and The American Cancer Society.
