Jennifer Baxter Morrison

Born July 10, 1944, Jennifer Baxter Morrison (née Jennifer M. Baxter) grew up in Chestnut Hill with her parents, Joseph Meehan Baxter and Marcia Thorp Baxter and her two brothers, Jeff and Justin. After graduating from Springside Academy and attending Washington College, Jennifer married Nicholas D’Orsaneo and had two children, Dawn and Peter. She then married Ronald Craig Morrison, who had two daughters, Karin and Megan. Jennifer and Ron then had a fifth child, Jessica, who completed their beautiful blended family.

Jennifer and Ron were married for forty-seven wonderful years and were involved in running the Sea Mist in Cape May, New Jersey and later Ron’s chain of restaurants called Baxter’s, after Jennifer’s maiden name. Jennifer enjoyed painting, reading, tennis, and spending time with Ron and her family and friends in Long Beach Island, Eleuthera, Saint Martin, and Sanibel. At their home in Devon, Pennsylvania, she was a fabulous host with fresh flowers on the table, elegant (or amusing) cocktail napkins, blueberries in icy cocktails, and dainty appetizers. She liked dark chocolate, Coca Cola, golden rum, Ron’s coffee, relaxing by the ocean, and looking her best for every occasion; and she loved to laugh with her family and friends.

In addition to her loving husband and best friend Ron, she will be missed by her brothers, Jeff and Justin (Nancy) Baxter; her five children, Dawn Morgan (Samuel), Karin Kilroy (William), Peter D’Orsaneo (Corey Harris), Megan Nieberle (Gary), and Jessica Keough (Michael); and her eleven grandchildren, Mack (Courtney), Hannah, and Julia Morgan; Peach, Ethan and Will Kilroy; Ryann, Jamie and Finn Nieberle; and Robert and Jake Keough; as well as her many loving friends and family.

Services will be held at Alleva Funeral Home, 1724 E Lancaster Avenue, in Paoli, on Saturday, January 25th with visitation from 1:00 to 2:30 and a ceremony from 2:30 to 3:00. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to PALS Cat Rescue at https://www.palscatrescue.org/about-us
