Ian Wilson Hindle, 66, of Wayne, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully and comforted by his loving family on Saturday, July 13, 2024. Ian was born on September 25, 1957 in Accrington, England, the proud son of Fred and Jean Hindle, and a loving brother to his sister, Helen. Ian was an honest, hardworking man who put his friends and family above all else, even himself.
He immigrated to the United States in 1986, building docks and working as a mechanic on heavy equipment, something he always loved to do. Four years later, Ian met Christine Corleto, who worked at her family's restaurant in King of Prussia, PA.
In May of 1999, Ian married Christine. They moved into their home in Bob White Farms. The following year, their son Blake was born. While raising his beloved family, Ian worked on countless job sites for countless people throughout our region - anyone who interacted with him would immediately know of his hardworking nature, passion for what he does and genuine concern for the wellbeing of others. He was loving, caring, generous and a devoted husband, father, friend and business owner.
Ian Hindle was passionate about many things, most notably, heavy machinery and his contracting business which he founded and developed himself. He enjoyed restoring antiques and other pieces of equipment, in addition to older classic cars and spent many days at car shows throughout the Greater Philadelphia area with his Ford Model-A hotrod. He also loved to go deep sea fishing, growing plants and vegetables and watching races. His passion was working with his hands, fixing broken things and figuring out difficult problems and mechanisms. His wealth of knowledge was a force to be reckoned with!
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Christine and his son Blake.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at Alleva Funeral Home, 1724 E. Lancaster Avenue, Paoli, PA 19301. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:30 am.
