Born in Glasgow, Scotland she grew up in Devon and Paoli and was a resident of Philadelphia for many years before returning back to Paoli.
A graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Ms. Harkin was an award-winning fine art photographer and taught photography at Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia for many years.
Ms. Harkin enjoyed the arts, tennis, and animals including her beloved pets Merlin, Clancy and Finnegan. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Harkin and Mary Leavy Harkin, and her sister, Mary Bernadette Harkin.
Survivors: Sister, Ann Harkin of Phoenixville, Chester County; niece, Julia Wilkinson, of Phoenixville.
