Frank was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 6, 1943 to Frank J., Sr. and Kathleen Kane Stavish. He attended South Plainfield High School, earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Fairfield University, and his Master’s Degree and Doctor of Philosophy from Temple University.
Frank spent his life devoted to a career of service to our Nation, to include active military service in the U.S. Army and law enforcement service at the local, state, and federal levels. Among them were the Lebanon County (Pennsylvania) Sheriff’s Office, Pennsylvania State Parole Board, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He also was a Criminal Justice Professor at LaSalle and Villanova Universities.
Frank was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, and an ardent supporter of our Nation’s Veterans and Service Members. He was a voracious reader, enjoyed amateur radio, and above all, time spent with his family. He was a life-long student and educator devoted to the ongoing pursuit of educating himself and others in support of their endeavors and aspirations.
Frank is predeceased by his mother, father, and brothers, James and Robert. He is survived by his wife Jeanne of 54 years, sons David (Jennifer) and Joseph, and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Paul (Susan), Jane (Lila) Ryan, and Ann.
In memory of Frank and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the One More Day nonprofit charity organization, devoted exclusively to the cause of helping our Nation’s Service Members, Law Enforcement, Veterans, and their families.
