Betty was born on August 23, 1943 in Newark, NJ to Patrocino and Hazel Mata. She graduated from Westside High School where she met her life-long love, Howard. Betty went on to become a legal secretary. She was a long-time resident of Devon, PA.
Betty was loved dearly by her family and friends. Her laugh and smile were infectious and would light up a room. Betty was an accomplished tennis player who went on to become an avid golfer later in life. Her grandchildren brought her much joy and pride.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia and brother Raymond.
Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years Howard, daughter Laura, son Craig (Karen) and grandchildren Kat (Bryce), Ryan and Eric.
A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 9:30 – 11:00 AM, at St. Norbert Church, 6 Greenlawn Road, Paoli, PA 19301, followed by a Mass at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association.
