Elaine Tokar

She was born on March 17, 1937, in Cressona, PA. She is the daughter of the late Russell Horoschak and Helen Yastishock. She graduated Minersville High School in 1955 and earned an Associates degree from Ford School of Business in Pottsville, PA.

Elaine married her best friend Leonard George Tokar on June, 7, 1958. They lived happily until he passed in 1991.

Elaine was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Isaac Jogues Parish in Wayne, PA since 1971, where she was a choir member and attended Mass daily. Elaine had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and prayed the Rosary daily. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and reading. She liked exercising at the local YMCA and was active in the community, volunteering as a poll worker for elections. Elaine enjoyed travel and she and Len especially loved Maui, Hawaii, vacationing on the island several times.

Elaine is survived by her two sons, Leonard G. Tokar, Jr. (Marlene) of Middletown, PA., Gregory J Tokar (Pilar) of Downingtown, PA, three grandsons, Joseph, Michael and Philip, brother Russell Horoschak (Kathy) and their children and grandchildren, aunt Ann Weaver (93) and her cousin Martin Mooney and family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 50 W. Walker Road, Wayne, PA 19087 on Friday, February 7, at 10:00 AM with Rev. Stephen A. Moerman as celebrant. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, 2025 Old Gulph Road, Villanova, PA 19085.
