Dr. Gaetano N. Pastore

Dr. Gaetano N. Pastore, 81, of Rosemont, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday February 2, 2020. Gaetano was the loving husband of Aquilina “Lina” (nee Petrillo) Pastore. Gaetano was the founder of the Italian Department at Villanova University and was a gifted linguist and popular instructor who shaped the minds of thousands of college students during his 52-year tenure. His love of Italian language and culture was infectious. Gaetano was loved and revered by his students, faculty and community at large. He was also a passionate fan of Villanova Wildcat Basketball. Surviving are 3 sons: Dr. Gaetano N. (Linda), Dr. Domenic J. (Tami) & Crispino M., Esq. (Sharon); 7 beloved grandchildren: Larissa, Samantha, Mia, Luke, Gianna, Ava and Ilana. Also surviving is 1 sister: Lina (Michael) Cefaratti. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday February 8, 2020 from 10-1130AM at Saint Thomas of Villanova Parish: 1229 East Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1130AM. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
