Cynthia Ann Farrell

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Cynthia Farrell, at age 90, on February 6, 2024. Cynthia & her beloved husband, Robert (Bob) Farrell were married 71 years and were longtime residents of Berwyn, PA.

Cynthia was a proud GRITS, “Girl Raised In The South.” Born in New Orleans & raised in Hattiesburg Mississippi, she met the love of her life while on a girl’s weekend trip to Biloxi & attending an Air Force USO dance at the Bueno Vista. Robert Farrell had joined the Air Force in 1950, walked in the door and was immediately smitten by Cynthia. Their eyes met, they danced, dated, and married a year later. Their first son, Steven, was born in Germany while Bob & Cynthia were stationed there with the US AirForce. During Bob’s career as an engineer for GE, the family moved many times throughout the US, settling in Berwyn, PA, and realizing their dreams of being surrounded by family.

The President of the Great Valley Women’s Club, Cynthia enjoyed gardening, world travel, golf, Elvis, James Bond, the Philadelphia Eagles, and a good party. She surrounded herself with family whenever possible, devoting herself to nurturing the importance of family. Cynthia thrived on a healthy lifestyle, was a gourmet cook & had a world class singing voice. Her greatest joys in life were her adored husband, Bob, her children, grand and great-grand kids.

Cynthia was predeceased by her dear, great-grandson, Parker, and her brother Paul Vorhaben. She is survived by her beloved husband Bob, her brother John Vorhaben, her three sons and their spouses Steven and Lynda, Tim and Pam, David and Vicki; by her 5 adored grandchildren & their spouses, David & Becky, Jennifer & Bryon, Ryan & Jenniffer, Andrew & Savannah, Brendan & Lizzie; and by her 8 great-grand kids Liam, Riley. Murphy, Breanna, Olivia, Lucas, Andre, and Shepard.

A private memorial will be held for Cynthia. Cynthia loved Super Bowl Sunday. Go 49ers. Please contact a friend or family member for details.
