Chris was a devoted husband and father. He took exceptional pride in his family and was often heard sharing stories of his children and grandchildren with warmth and affection. Chris enjoyed the Finger Lakes of Upstate New York. He cherished spending time there with his loving wife Fi and family at their home on Keuka Lake in Hammondsport, New York.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts from King’s College in 1970. He earned his law degree, with honors, from Syracuse University College of Law in 1973.
Chris practiced law with Cozen O’Connor for over 40 years. Chris was respected by colleagues and peers for zealously representing his clients throughout the United States with professionalism and compassion. He successfully tried more than one hundred cases. Chris was a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the American Bar Foundation. Chris also won several professional awards in recognition of his achievements as a trial lawyer.
Chris was involved in numerous professional and pro bono activities. Chris was a member of the Board of Trustees of Gesu School. He was also a visiting professor of practice at Syracuse University College of Law and member of the College of Law’s Board of Advisors. Chris was the former chair of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association, co-founder and past president of the Philadelphia Bar Association Homeless Advocacy Program, former president of the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program, and past president of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute. For his work on behalf of the homeless, Chris received the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Pro Bono Award, the Community Legal Service’s Equal Justice Award, a Philadelphia City Council citation, and an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Homeless Advocacy Project.
Chris was a selfless and generous person who was deeply committed to his family and friends. He will be missed tremendously. Chris was predeceased by his wife Susan Fallon. He is survived by his wife Fi Fallon; son Christopher C. Fallon, III (Kelli); son Patrick J. Fallon (Samantha); daughter Kaitlyn Fallon Davis (Jamal); brother Joseph Fallon (Ellen); brother Timothy Fallon (Betsy); brother Peter Fallon (Beth); sister Anne Bergan (Robert); sister Claudia Mroz; Fi’s daughter Carrie Sarhangi Love (Franklin); Fi’s son Ali Sarhangi (Sarah), and his loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews & extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 800 E. Lancaster Avenue, Villanova, PA 19085 on May 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
