Christine A. McClay, 50, beautiful wife of 20 years, loving mother and friend to all, of West Chester, died peacefully at home on January 17, 2016 after a long battle with multiple myeloma.Christine is survived by her husband Robert and their children Aidan, Erin, Jenna and Keely; her four-legged furry children Darcy and Bodie; her brother Robert (Pamela) Martell and family; her brother Dennis (Dorothy) Martell and family; and her mother Josephine Martell. Christine graduated in 1987 from Franklin and Marshall College. A veteran, she also served our country in active and reserve units in the US Army from 1990 to 2005, including graduating from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. She was a legal consultant to the pharmaceutical industry, a member of Saint Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, a school volunteer, a soccer/field hockey/softball/track/cross country mom, a traveler who loved seeing her children’s reactions upon seeing something amazing for the first time, and a woman who understood the preciousness of life. Gratitude to countless friends and family who made Christine’s life full, the medical teams at University of Pennsylvania and especially Michel and Alice, who’s expertise, technology, care and warmth made it possible to live 17 full years. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Saint Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, 203 N Valley Forge Rd, Devon, PA. Visitation is at 12:00; service at 1:00 with a light reception following.
