Charles Edward McOsker, 92, recently of Audubon, formerly of Berwyn, PA, passed away peacefully at his home in Shannondell at Valley Forge on Friday January 18, 2019. He was the son of the late Daniel and Helen McOsker of Providence, RI. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia McOsker (nee Gilroy), four children, Kathy (Tagore) of Devon, Susan (the late Bruce Hatton) of Willow Grove, Maureen (John) of Chester Springs and Charlie (Amy) of Richardson, TX; and four grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Matthew and Joseph. He is also survived by his sister Joan Raughtigan of Orange, MA and sister-in-law Joanne McOsker of Falls Church, VA. He was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel McOsker and Robert McOsker.
Charles was born on March 24, 1926 in Providence, RI. He attended Central High School in Providence, and then served 2 years in the Army Air Corps. After discharge from the Air Corps, he attended the University of Rhode Island for Mechanical Engineering and graduated in 1951. He moved to Schenectady, NY where he met his wife Patricia. They married on April 25, 1953. Charles worked in the Aero Space Industry for over 40 years for General Electric. He worked on many business and military projects, including the recently declassified Corona satellite project.
Charles was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was passionate about Hot Rods, classic cars, commercial and military airplanes, space travel and American history.
He enjoyed many hobbies, such as bowling on the team at Devon Lanes, playing pool, grilling in the back yard and sketching a house or a 1930’s classic car.
His family is grateful for the love and kindness he always gave us, and he will be dearly missed.

Catholic Church, 50 Walker Rd. Wayne PA 19087. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00am.
Burial will be at the Washington Memorial Chapel Cemetery in Valley Forge.
