Alan Edelstein, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Alan was the son of Ruth Silverman and Irving Edelstein, brother to Joyce and Helene, father of Cheri and Marlyn and stepfather to Janine and Renee. His grandchildren, London, Sloane, Makenna, Colin, Noah, Jacob and Jonah always brought smiles to his face and playfulness to his heart.
Alan grew up in northeast Philadelphia and went to Northeast High School, Class of 1966. He worked at Polaroid repairing cameras and also at Pilling Surgical Instruments (Teleflex) as manager of their repair department.
Alan was loved by his wife and friend, Gilda. They had many memories together and lots of laughter. Alan's passion included photography, acrylic pour painting, Motown and Jazz and watching the Phillies and Flyers.
Rest in Peace knowing you are loved and missing from our lives but Forever in Our Hearts.
