I’m not even sure where to start. There’s a lot that hasn’t been said out loud, but it’s not necessary because I know how you felt. More than anything, I want to say thank you and I love you.Thank you for being the father figure in my life. You have filled a missing spot in my life and heart, I will forever be thankful that you stepped up. You have shown me how I should be treated and are a constant reminder to never settle. Thank you for being such a great role model. Our whole family looked up to you in so many ways . We cherish every single moment we had with you. Hey Unk,
It brings me great sadness to write this message to you today. As family and friends write their most cherished moments and memories of you, I just wanted to let you know I appreciate everything you’ve done for this family. There are many words I can use to describe you but the first word that comes to mind  is STRONG. The life you lived was not an easy one but you managed to continue through, always with a smile on your face. To be the oldest of 9 siblings, you inspire me to be the best brother I can be to my siblings. You were the Father figure my Mother Veronica never had. This is another extremely tough loss for us as a Family but I don’t want to be selfish. I’m happy knowing you will be able to see your Wife, my Auntie Espy again. It makes me smile knowing you’ll get to sneak away and have a cigarette with your Sister, my Auntie Yolie once more. It brings joy to my heart knowing your Mom, my Grandma Marcy gets to hug her first born son once again. I fight back tears as I write this but thank you for your countless attempts at keeping this family together. The family events, holidays and gatherings won’t be the same without you. The pool table will be a little more empty and less competitive without the stick in your hand. I love you Unk.

What’s up Uncle Art,
It seems like just last week you went to Arizona for a nice little get away to relax. I’m going to miss expecting to see you knowing that at any kind of gathering we had you’d always come. I can’t remember a single one you didn’t make it to. Thank you for always putting the family first and showing that kind of example. Since I was a child in my youth some of my earliest memories was being able to watch you play pool in our garage, and I have never not been impressed. I’ll miss the calls and talks after a Green Bay vs Minnesota game. Or the nights we spent playing poker at the house. You stayed and played with us despite how late it was and would always make that drive home. I will forever cherish the memories and laughs we had on our trips to Arizona, or the talks we’d have about anything. You always showed how supportive you were and how much you believed in us. Art was someone special to my heart .He was someone i respected and looked up to as a kid cause he was always buff. He was my dads best friend. And together as friends they brought the Reyes and Maynes family together and as kids we. Shared memories together like family.
My dad died and Art and Espie stayed friends. With my mom and befriended her new husband Dave and even baptized my brother Gabriel .I remember always shaking Arts hand with his firm grip and dry hands .he would look at me up and down. Smile and squeeze my arms , and tell me "still lifting weights there  ha Joey " I would tell him (yes).My heart is heavy and sadden for his passing but i know that he is with Espie , his family and friends and God now .I love you Art see you when i get there...my condolences to all the Reyes family.
