Getting ready to retire in a few years and thinking about who I would really want to reconnect with...which lead me to this page. My best friend in high school, my best man in my wedding, my ride home when my father was dying, hours of laughter and endless joking together. A kind soul, a gentle heart and of course that great laugh and sense of humor. Bryan with a "Y" I am sure is sorely missed by his family and friends. My deepest heartfelt sympathies and condolences and of course prayers are with all of you, even if it has been over a year. I regret not beeing able to share PAW PAW stories and no sugar diet tips and of course laughing together again! My heart is broken, but even now I feel you close, encouraging me to reconnect with family and friends that I love and to try and make this short journey we are on worth something as you did. My deepest sympathy goes out to Bryants family his wife Donna, daughter Elaine, mother Marion and all his siblings, nieces and nephews. Bryan was a special person to me,  he kept me informed about the family which I really appreciated. He was kind, smart, talented, and loving. I'm going to miss him dearly. I didn't think I'd be saying a final goodbye this soon.   You were way too young and had such a kind spirit.

I wil remember all the laughs you, Ebo, Eboni, Auntie Donna I had when I would visit you guys on Burbank Blvd.  Then all of you came to visit me in Connecticut and then later at Berkeley and here in NYC.

You were always so supportive and had a good sense of humor.  And the legendary quiches.....


I could go on and on.... but I'll end on I'll miss joking with you about who spells their name right...with an "I" or a "Y."

I love you Uncle Bryan. I appreciate how you always tried to keep in touch and would get on me for not calling  back (in college). Whenever I hear of Monkey Bread I think of you because you brought it to the first BBQ at our house and told me what it was and I thought you were trying to trick me. Lol. I will always remember your smiling dimples taking pictures as I walked down the aisle as flower girl. :) I remember kissing your dimples w/ Auntie Donna. I remember you always taking pictures, I remember staying w/you for a week when we were little.  I love you & am so grateful I got you as an uncle.

Brian Woods was an awesome family man and brother-in-law, who has been loved by all. He was multi-talented and was always good-natured, no matter what else was going on at the time. Bryan was my brother-in-law.  I remember very clearly when he first came to the family house to meet us years ago.   Since I was one of Donna’s “big sisters” I was the designated sister to “interview” Bryan.  I was serious about who I permitted my baby sister to marry! Lol. He passed with flying colors.  He was a wonderful brother-in-law.  Always polite, patient and kind.  I used to tease him  and say he deserved a GOLD medal especially when I saw that not much made him lose his cool.   Bryan, your presence will be sorely missed.  Love you much, Genia 

Daddy… this just doesn’t seem real. I wish I could pick up the phone and call you but I can’t anymore. Thank you for always being there for me and loving me, Nate, and the boys UNCONDITIONALLY. I’m glad I took the time to give you a tight hug the last time we saw you. The last smile I saw from you as you waved goodbye to us from the kitchen window has been replaying in my mind over and over. Daddy I love you, you will always be in my heart. I promise I’ll remind the boys of how amazing you were. How you loved watching cartoons with them and always showed them love. Until we meet again Daddy, Rest In Peace. Love your baby girl

What I remember and will miss most about Uncle Bryan is the ever- present, permanent big  smile on his face. I can’t  think of a time he was ever angry or upset. Two words that come to mind that  encompass Uncle Bryan are LOVE and PEACE.  I will miss him terribly. Love nephew Brandon  

What I miss most and remember well is Bryan’s great attitude and his wonderful smile.  Whether he was just smiling because of a joke or him reassuring me something was “going to be alright” or whatever the occasion, his smile was big, happy, and contagious.  I’ll always miss that. 

As with the Wood’s family, our team is no longer whole.  Bryan was very good at his job and will be sorely missed.  We would very much like to thank the family for allowing him to share his expertise and precious time with us for the past five years.  He is now and will continue to be missed.  God Bless all of you. 


I don't think I ever saw Bryan without a smile on his face. He was always so humble and such a sweet spirit. My husband and I attended church with Bryan and the Woods family for many, many, years and love them all so much. Bryan, so gracious and loving, put a video together of our wedding that he recorded, edited, and packaged so beautifully for us as a gift. He was the sweetest heart and such a beautiful soul. Grateful to have known him. Grateful for the entire beautiful Woods family and sending lots of love to you all now. 


Bryan was a joy to work with. I appreciated his calm demeanor and care for people that he interacted with during the day. I will miss his presence on our team!

I only worked with Bryan for a short time, but he was always awesome. When I stepped into my new role at work, he always took the time to answer my questions and help get me up to speed. I'm surely going to miss him.

     My brother, it has been my honor and pleasure to have been able to work with you and share a few conversations with you. Even thou we did not know each other personally, you displayed such talent and professionalism in the way you handle your work and the people around you;  it is because of that and much more; you shall be remembered and honored.

When I started working with Bryan, I looked to him as a leader, but I quickly found in him a friend as well. I think that was the experience of pretty much everybody who worked with him, and I'm sure he drew others outside of work the same way. I could talk with him about anything. He would listen and share despite having his own and Donna's health challenges. I will miss being able to talk to him whenever I wanted as well as his easygoing manner and warm laugh. I look forward to seeing him again.

I will miss Bryan terribly. He was a wonderful person and a great boss who always had your back, even if you messed up.  He had a tremendous sense of humor and a contagious laugh that made you laugh too.  In fact, in almost all of my memories of Bryan, he was smiling and laughing. He helped make our work team a family.

He was very proud of his family, especially the grandchildren and mentioned them often. He practically shined when he spoke of them.

Bryan was considerate and caring and it was a pleasure to know him. I am so very sorry he is gone.


Bryan was an amazing guy and the best boss I've ever had. My favorite memory was just when we'd wrap up work and spend the last 5 minutes of the day just decompressing and talking.  When I first started working there I sat at the desk beside him. I soon realized I couldn't sit next to him if I wanted to get any work done because he was too easy to talk to.

Dearest Family,
It is with heartfelt sympathy we write this from his Lockheed family.   Not only was he one of our key team members, but he was also part of our extended family amongst us.  We knew he loved his soulmate, children & grandchildren.  The day after we learned of his passing we all agreed that his smile & kindness will leave a void amongst us as one of us.  As part of our team/family, we all not only worked together but had plenty to eat together, potlucks, BBQs, Burrito Mondays & Donut Monday & our annual Christmas lunch.  And yes, we knew he was on a special diet & always made sure he had his sugar-free treats!  Bryan will always be missed by our Training Team.  Sincerely, Gabe Padilla & Team

Bryan expressed the fact that his mother was from Pine Bluff, Arkansas originally. He and I had a special bond, because we used to give each other a hard time about the fact that I was married to a gentleman from Sheridan,  Arkansas. Sheridan is only 30 minutes from Pine Bluff. I told Brian that he and I had to be related, because everyone in Arkansas is either first cousins or somehow family. 

Since I am from Alabama and know nothing about living in California, I asked him if I ever came out there would I be able to get a good tan? He told me everyone in Southern California had tans, but I probably wouldn’t fit in because of my thick south Alabama accent. I would always tell him that I would claim him as family and get accepted that way.

I had the pleasure of being in the media ministry with Brother Brian when we both attend United Christian Fellowship. I’ll always remember when he use to send me to Staples to buy more CD’s, I always got the wrong ones so I had to turn right back around to get the right ones lol. I wasn’t a very fast learner when it came to working our church soundboard, but Brother Brian had a great deal patience with me. A very humble and calm spirit, it was a blessing to have Brother Brian in my life. I know his soul will forever Rest In Peace. 

Mr. Bryan  was an awesome dad ,husband and person to me when I always was around him and Mrs. Donna. I send my love and prayers for healing for the family and know that I am with you guys all the way from Vegas. Love you always Elaine and Mrs. Donna.  Love Vivian and family
