“It's a beautiful day in Palm Harbor!” is the message on the answering machine of Bob Weber, born on July 8th, 1923 in Jamestown, NY. He was husband to Lois Weber for 63 years and father to Akasha Kaur Khalsa, Bob, Tim, and Joel. All four children are married for many years.
He was a lucky man. Bob was a WWII veteran in the Pacific theater. He loved and danced the swing music of that era for the rest of his life. He graduated Hiram College, Ohio where he met Lois. Akasha was born (Ruth Ann Weber) in New Hampshire and they moved to Madison, Ohio where the family grew to six. He enjoyed weekend fishing trips in the wilderness around Hudson Bay with his brother in-law, Bob Paige. The family followed Lois' mother and siblings Carol and Jim to Clearwater, Florida in 1964. He taught 3rd grade at Belcher Elementary School. Bob taught his kids to enjoy sailing, fishing, and the outdoors. Summers included long road trips across the 48 states to national parks and world fairs. He retired with Lois in Palm Harbor, continuing to travel and dance and sing.
