On August 30, 2018 Robert C. Fay peacefully passed away at the age of 81 with his wife Peggy lovingly by his side. To all who knew him, Bob was an excellent role model in his many roles as an executive, boss, friend, father, brother, and husband. Raised in the St. Petersburg area, he grew to become a decorated U.S. Naval Officer and Vietnam War Veteran, after graduating from Naval war College in New Port, RI. After his military service, he began a successful career with the YMCA that rose to an executive level. With his resume is robust, his greatest accomplishment was as husband to Peggy and father to four boys. Bob and Peg eventually became 35 year residents of Redington Beach where Bob proudly served as President of Redington Beach's Park Board for 30 years.
Those who knew Bob, loved Bob. His unwavering honesty was mixed with intense generosity that was an inspiration to all. He always had a way to be positive and find laughter during the most difficult of times, as proof in his last hours with us here on earth.
Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years Margaret " Peggy" Fay, brother Tom ( Shelly), his four sons, Bill ( Kelly) New Jersey, Steve ( Liz) Tampa, Brad (Cathy) Tampa, and Jeff Tampa. With all his heart Bob loved his grandkids, Zach, Drew, Spencer, Ben, Riley, Liz, Emily, Abby, Kaity who will miss their "Pop".
