Elmore Franklin Pinder, Sr., a native of Key West, FL, passed away on October 28, 2011 in Palm Harbor, FL. He was born October 17, 1919 in Key West where he resided for the majority of his life. He was the son of Minnie Isobel Pinder (nee Skelton) and Hilburn Pinder (aka Molly, the Barber). He served in the United States Navy and in the United States Civil Service, retiring from both. He was predeceased by his wife, Nellie Louise Pinder (nee Russell), of sixty-eight years, his sister Mary Pinder, granddaughter Juliette Ann Pinder, and daughter-in-law Callie E. Pinder. He is survived by son Elmore F. “Frank” Pinder, Jr., grandsons Matthew F. (Jennifer) Pinder and John W. Pinder, great-grandchildren Emma Juliette Pinder and William F. Pinder, and his brothers Floyd Pinder and J.W. Pinder, both of Florida. Graveside services will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
