Charles F. Scace passed away on June 15, 2020 in Spring Hill, FL with his loving wife Jean by his side. Charlie was born in Pittsfield, MA on March 11, 1945 to William Scace IV and Lorna (Edwards) Scace, and raised on the Scace Farm in Pittsfield, MA.
He is survived by his wife Jean Scace (Spring Hill, FL); son David Scace (Windham, NH); 5-siblings: Lorna Robitaille (Housatonic, MA), William Scace V & his wife Lois (Salida, CO), Stephen Scace & his wife Jennifer, John Scace (Cheshire, MA) and Anne Scace (Pittsfield, MA); 3-Stepdaughters: Lory Atwell (Adams, MA), Sandra Wick & her husband Wayne (Dalton, MA), Paula Ross-Fudge & her husband Walter Sicotte (Becket, MA); Multiple nieces, nephew and grandchildren; and his cat “Stretch”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Isabel Lewis and Son-in-law Steven Atwell.
Charlie was a 1962 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He served his country in the Vietnam War in the Air Force until 1968 when he was honorably discharged. He continued to work on the family farm. He was a long time employee of Robouin Trucking in Pittsfield, MA. He also worked at the Sebring Stables in Pittsfield, MA until he retired to Spring Hill, FL in 2010.
Charlie was a life-time member of the VFW, and life long fan of the NY Giants. He enjoyed gardening, trucking, horses, western movies, collecting baseball hats, and beer. He was a proud member of “Beer can alley”. He will be missed by all that knew him in MA and FL, and all of his travels.
