It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rachel Morris, affectionately known as “Bema”, on July 2, 2023. Rachel was born in Pultusk Poland 97 years ago and came to the United States in 1951 as a Holocaust Survivor. She was predeceased by her beloved husband George.
Family was paramount to Rachel and she cherished her role as mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Rita Gottlieb (Ronald), Mitchell Morris (Nancy), grandchildren Cynthia Weil (Andrew), Lisa Kantor (Todd), Steven Gottlieb (Amy), Jake Morris (Samantha), Georgie Nachlas (Gregory), and great-grandchildren Ashley, Ethan, Natalie, Ross, Drew, Dylan, Charles and Riley.
Rachel had a spunky spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her. She was known for her ability to listen, lend a helping hand and offer valuable words of wisdom. Her spirit will continue to inspire us to be kind, compassionate, and resilient.
May Bema rest in eternal peace knowing that her life was a beautiful gift to us all.
