Lillian Ring, known to all her family as Lilly, passed away peacefully in her sleep January 14, 2019, just six days before her 92nd birthday. Lilly is survived by her loving three children, Sandy Hack of River Vale, NJ. Alan Ring and wife, Carol of Brodheadsville, PA, Mindy Golden and husband, Marc of Jupiter, FL, her grandchildren, Sarah Golden, Michael Golden, Rachel Ring Alborn (Rich), two-great grandchildren, and numerous adoring nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and cousins. Lilly was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Henry, her son-in-law Bob Hack, and her sister Grace Dolkart. Lilly will be missed by her loving family and her second family at Temple Beth David in Palm Beach Gardens, FL., as well as by everyone at Allegro in Jupiter, FL, where she lived.
Lillian was born and grew up in Union City, NJ, attended college at the Pratt Institute, and did her post-graduate work in Education at Montclair State. She was married to Henry in 1948 and raised three children in Englewood, NJ, and was a member of Temple Emanu-El. She was very active in ORT, and was a past president of her Chapter in NJ. Lilly began her teaching career at the Englewood, NJ high school, at the age of 40, teaching Home Economics. After "retiring" and moving to Jupiter, FL, Lilly worked at the Temple Beth David Pre-school, where she was grandma to all and adored by everyone who knew her.
There will be a funeral service at Beth-El Cemetery in Paramus, NJ on Wednesday January 16th, 2019 10:30 AM followed by a Memorial Service at Temple Beth David in PBG, FL. at a later date.
