On February 12th, 2013, Herb Cooper, age 83, beloved husband, best friend, amazing father, brother and uncle, our hero and a wonderful grandfather passed away at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City. He is survived by his family who loved him so, his wife Gila, his daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Robert Lindsey, his son and daughter-in-law Glenn and Sharon Cooper, his grandchildren who will always remember him as their Saba; Zachary, Sammy, Jacob and Jonathan Cooper and Shelby Lindsey and his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Irwin Simes. Herb will be laid to rest on Friday, February 15th at noon at Star of David Funeral Chapel and Cemetery of the Palm Beaches located at 9321 Memorial Park Rd in West Palm Beach. Following the service, friends and family are invited back to their home at 233 Old Meadow Way in Palm Beach Gardens in PGA National. Shiva will be at their home following the service until 7pm and then everyday through Thursday, February 21st from 2pm to 7pm except Saturday, February 16th when shiva will be observed from sundown to 7:30pm. Donations may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
