Audrey was a loving, caring, passionate woman who made a positive impact on many lives. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, was a graduate of Penn State with a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, and later in life earned her Masters degree at National Lewis University with highest honors in Addictions Counseling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anne and Irwin Bell and her brother, Sanford Bell (Joyce). She is survived by her twin sister, Francine Tasillo (Jim) and loving family--husband Richard, Son Brian and daughter Lauren Wayne (Tom), grandchildren Anna Wesselink, Braden Wayne and Evan Wayne and many close and wonderful nieces and nephews whom she loved as much as her own children.
She and Richard were high school sweethearts and married in 1964. Their love was special and a wonderful example to friends and family throughout their 58 years of marriage. Audrey adapted to many moves because of Richard’s army service and corporate career. She never wanted to move to the new location, but adapted so well that she never wanted to leave for the next place. A key example of their early nomadic life is when Brian was born in California and Lauren was born in Tennessee. The family finally put down roots in Chicago’s NW suburbs where they lived for over 30 years before moving to Florida in 2004. The move to Florida has been wonderful for her as she was surrounded by family. For most of their married life they didn’t have any relatives near them.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the I J Morris-Star of David cemetery, 9321 Memorial Park Rd. Palm Beach Gardens (off Northlake) Friday at 2:30.
