Audrey Kaplan, 92, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. Audrey was born in New Rochelle, New York to Samuel and Rose Barasch (nee Trohn). The family moved to Western Pennsylvania where she grew up and met the love of her life, Edward Kaplan, at their families’ country club. They married in 1951, operated a furniture store, and raised two children in McKeesport PA.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, R. Edward Kaplan; her sons, Michael (Ellen Toby) Kaplan; and Kenneth (Ellen) Kaplan; her grandson, Matthew (Amy) Kaplan, her granddaughters, Laura (Keith Hayes) Kaplan, Samantha (Brandon Frumolt) Kaplan, and Raina Schunk, her great grandsons, Cruz Kaplan and Kane Kaplan, her great granddaughters Lyla Kaplan, Zoey Schunk, Phoebe Frumolt and Iris Frumolt.
In 1985, the couple moved to Florida where she became a realtor. Audrey loved her life and friends at Eastpointe in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Playing golf and bridge and spending time with family was her simple recipe for enjoying life.
A Memorial Service for Audrey will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 3:30 PM at IJ Morris at Star of David of the Palm Beaches, 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33412.
