William "Billy" Howell

His family moved to Winter Garden, FL when he was two years old. Billy went to grade school and highschool in Winter Garden. He played football, basketball and baseball for the Lakeview High School in Winter Garden. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army.

He took Basic Training and Military Police School in Camp Gordon, GA. After which, he was stationed in Tokyo, Japan for three years in the 519th M.P. Battalion of the 1st Calvary Division, U.S. Army.

His hobbies were hunting, fishing and playing the harmonica.

After being discharged from the Army, Billy moved to Melbourne, FL where he went to work for AT&T. This is where he met and married Ernestine Hebert from Madawaska, Maine. They had one son, Steven W. Howell. Ernestine passed away in 2005. Steven passed away in 2007.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Delmajoe and a brother, Donald.

Billy is survived by one grandson Jason S. Howell.

A visitation for William will be held Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909. A celebration of life service will occur Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7303 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909.
