Tommie graduated from Summerfield High School in 1974. His commitment to his country was evident in his 20 years of service in the United States Air Force, where he retired as a Tech Sergeant (TSGT). Following his military career, he attended Columbia University and later worked at Cape Canaveral for 17 years.
Known for his sense of humor, Tommie was also a devoted family man. He is survived by his daughters, Neshanda Johnson and Toshica Bunting; son-in-law Matthew Bunting; brother Allen Bell, sister Gloria Bell, sister-in-law Christine Smith, bother-in-law Eugene Smith, sister-in-law Lynn Bell; grandchildren AJ and Caira Whiters; and great-granddaughter Tiana Elizabeth Green. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Tommie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth Johnson Bell; mother, Ola Mae Bell; father, Tom Bell Jr; and brother, Joseph Bell.
A fisherman, bowler, and computer enthusiast, Tommie found joy and relaxation in his hobbies, which he often shared with his family and friends.
A service to honor Tommie's life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 5th at Fountainhead Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909
