He was born in Manhattan, New York and grew up in Queens, New York until moving to Levittown, New York as a teenager, where he met his wife of 58 years, Mary Anne. He served in the United States. Army and then worked as a Class A Machinist and Tool and Die Maker for 43 years. He loved 50’s rock & Roll music, his beloved New York Mets, his wife’s Italian cooking, and making people laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; his children: John Maxwell, Debbie Hinson (Larry), Tommy Maxwell Jr. (Sue), Maryanne Maxwell (Tim), and Steve Maxwell (Paula); his grandchildren: John, Jessica, Kevin, Joey, Katie, Kendall, Kelly, Greg, Jake, and Max; his great-grandchildren, Mason and Angelo; his brothers, Billy Maxwell (Linda) and Danny Reese (Nancy); his Aunt Mary; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Hubel; stepfather, Herb Hubel Sr.; sister, Eileen Jancus; and brother, Herb Hubel, Jr.
Tommy was loved by all who knew him and will be missed deeply. A visitation and service will be held on Friday October 25, 2019 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Fountainhead Funeral Home at 7359 Babcock St, SE Palm Bay. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the home of his daughter, Maryanne.
