Michael Perry Spivey, born September 1, 1955 in Hialeah Florida to Alex and Mildred Spivey passed away Saturday May 29, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Susan, their three children Laura (38), Kimberly (37) and Michael (35) along with his three grandchildren Amara (4) and Abigail (2) and Alex (4).
Growing up Mike was an adventurous kid who lived life to its fullest. Because of this he managed to break almost every bone in his body at least once growing up, he also scared his neighbors when he would take his pet skunk for walks. He learned to fly before he was 16 and was an avid sharp shooter.
After high school, he joined the air force and became a fire paramedic. He married Susan and they lived in CA while he served. He volunteered at the local fire station when he was off duty. After he left the Air Force Mike and Susan moved to Palm Bay Florida. He eventually went to back to work for FPL where he held many positions one of which being a cable splicer.
Mike retired from FPL in 2002 and got into riding his Harley and spending more time with his growing family. He loved reading on the back porch with his dog Bella and watching the animals that found their way to the yard.
A celebration of life service for Michael will be held Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock St SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909.
