Marie Joan Dileo

Marie Joan DiLeo, lovingly called Joan by family and friends died July 31, 2023. Joan died in her home she shared with her son, Robert and daughter-in-law Russelle and their children. Joan was a daughter, a sister, a mother, an aunt, a grandmother, and so much more.

Joan was the first daughter born to William E. and Marie M. (Sewiskey) Walls. Joan was born on April 30, 1943 in Puritan, a section of Portage Township in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. She was the fourth child of seven children.

Joan attended United High School in Armagh, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. She attended Middlesex County College.

Joan worked for St. Peter's Medical Hospital and for private doctors. She retired as Vascular Ultrasound Technologist.

She married Alfred "Fred" DiLeo on October 2, 1976 in New Brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey. They were married for over 30 years.

Many loved Joan and everyone who knew her would tell you about her generosity, love, and how much she cared for and about others. Proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 brother (William Richard), and 1 sister (Laura Cibula). Joan also leaves so many behind who will mourn her. At the top of the list who will miss her will be her son, Robert Walls. Joining Robert in his loss will be his wife Russelle and their children Bobby and Asia. Also surviving her are 4 brothers: Rodger Walls and wife, Roberta Walls (Pennsylvania), Grover Walls (New Jersey), Daniel Walls and wife, Alice Walls (New Jersey), and David Walls and wife, Allison Walls (Florida). She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
