Born in Fort Totten, New York, she was the daughter of Joseph A. Briere and Marian Linsky. She was employed as a secretary at the Wanaque Elementary School Board of Education in New Jersey for many years.
She was a former member of Ascension Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking meals for them. Marie was the best Nana! She also enjoyed playing cards with friends, playing Bunco, and going on cruises. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, and her loving, caring, and kind personality.
Marie is survived by her four children: Robert Bauman Jr. (Robin), Lori Tapie (Wayne), Phyllis Klish (Edward), and Jeffrey Bauman; three grandchildren: Kerry Chau (John), Thomas Sullivan (Sarah), and Jeremy Bloch (Stacy); five great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Mary Briere and Agnes Bauman; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by both of her parents, her loving husband Robert Sr., and 13 siblings, all of whom she loved dearly- Marie was the last survivor of 14.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 13th, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909 with interment at Fountainhead Memorial Park. The visitation will be held from 11:00 am to the time of the service.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
