She was born to Eustace and Doris Creighton, March 30, 1930, in Greywood,
St. Ann, Jamaica, West Indies.
She moved to Kingston at the age of 19 years old. There she worked as a
dressmaker for many well known stores.
In 1969, she migrated to the United Statesof America, seeking better opportunities.
She worked in many places, but before retiring, she worked at Mercy Hospital,
in Springfield, MA, for about 25 years, as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She loved
her job, because caring for people was her passion.
She also had a passion for cooking and baking and she was good at it. She enjoyed sewing
for her granddaughter (Melanie), and her great granddaughter (Amani)
Melanie was the best dressed in school, and the teachers would ask
"where do you shop for her?" I would laugh and say, "She has her own personal
designer - KC."
For many years she took cruises all over the world and she truely
enjoyed life. Then in 2009, her health began to fail. In 2011 she moved to Florida
to be near her daughter, granddaughter and great grandchildren.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother Hasting, (Johnny).
