June Elaine Purtell, 83, of Sebastian died Wednesday (9/18) morning in the Indian River Medical Center. A native of Johnson City, NY, she came to the Sebastian area in 1989 from Boca Raton. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church in Sebastian. She enjoyed reading but her greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bob; one son: David of Sebastian; three daughters: Debbie of Sebastian, Becky Palmer of Vonore, TN, Linda Spruill of Alpharetta, GA; one sister: Elizabeth Sanzo of Sebastian; seven grandchildren: Troy Curtis, Andrew Curtis, Colleen Durrwachter, Melanie Palmer, Jack Palmer, Ashley Spruill, Michael Spruill; and one great-grandson: Caleb Curtis.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 PM in the Fountainhead Funeral Chapel, Babcock St. SE, Palm Bay. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 12:30 until time of service. Entombment will follow in Fountainhead Memorial Park.
