Jean-Claude Calixte, 72, of Palm Bay passed away Monday 9/9/13, at William Childs Hospice House. A native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Jean-Claude moved to the US in 1969, living in New York until 1992 when he relocated to Palm Bay. He worked as an electrician most his life and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Jean-Claude was an active member of the Masonic Order, loved soccer, discussing politics, and enjoyed gardening.
Jean-Claude is survived by his wife of 43 years, Micheline Calixte; three sons: Jean R. Petrus, Marc E. Calixte, and Claude(Monique) M. Calixte of Brooklyn, NY; one daughter: Carline(Benjamin) Crabbe of Upper Marlboro, MD; two brothers: Patrick Dyer and Edauard Dyer; one sister: Bernadette Oscar; 9 grandchildren: Lashauna Dread, Aaron Chase, Dayonna Calixte, Alysia Charles, Jacob Calixte, Jaden Petrus, Sage Petrus, Satchel Petrus, and Marc E. Calixte II; and one great-grandchild, Selena Micheline Vest.
Visitation will be held from 10-12PM (9/16), and service at 12 PM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park.
