Jean F. Beck

Jean Fisher Beck, 94 of Murphy, formerly of Dillsboro, NC , passed away Saturday January 21, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Westport, Connecticut and moved to Micco, Florida at a young age. She married Al Beck Sr. on June 1, 1946 and moved to North Miami, Florida where they started their family. In 1958 they moved their family to Fellsmere, FL and continued raising their family. After the children were all grown they began traveling.

Jean loved to travel, camping, country music, and her family.

She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ida Elizabeth Richardson Fisher and wife of the late Alfred LeRoy Beck Sr. who died in 1983. She is also preceded in death by two sons, Jack O. Beck and

Dale O. Beck and one sister and two brothers.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda S. Kniedler and husband Mark, of Ocala, Florida, Kathy J. Nowotne of Whittier, NC; three sons, Allen E. Beck and wife Debbie of Iron Station, NC, Robert L. Beck and wife Sylvia, of Clinton, Pennsylvania, Reverend Al Beck and wife, Katarina of Murphy, NC; countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7303 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909.
