Janice M. Corso, age 73, of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, passed away in Florida on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021, surrounded by loving family. Janice was born in Somerville Massachusetts on June 10, 1947 to Raymond W. and Mary B. Taylor of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Janice is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years I. Robert Corso, and is survived by her sister Nancy Deardorff (Adam), step-daughter Andrea Strokus (Vince), step-daughter Christine Paulik (Jack), and her beloved grandchildren, Cassie, Ashley, Bobby and Amanda.
At the age of 18 her prayers for a sibling were answered and her sister Nancy was born. Despite the age difference, Janice and Nancy were as close as two sisters could ever be, and it would remain that way for the rest of Janice’s life. Janice was not only a sister, but a mother and best friend to her sister Nancy.
Janice grew up in Arlington Massachusetts and was a medical office manager for over 35 years. She married her husband Robert Corso, “Rob” in May of 1981 and became a step mother to his two children Christine and Andrea and a step grandmother to four beautiful step grandchildren whom she adored and brought her much joy. After retiring, Janice and Rob moved from Burlington, Massachusetts to Cape Cod. Janice and her husband Rob became “snowbirds” and purchased their winter home in Palm Bay, Florida in 2008 where they would spend the winter.
Janice loved life and enjoyed many things; cooking, gardening, vacations, travel, singing, dancing and walking on the beach, but her greatest love was for her friends and family. Friends and family meant the world to Janice. Janice’s legacy is the life she lived, creating precious memories for so many. A generous heart filled with love, a spirit filled with joy, and a soul filled with goodness, a beautiful lady of courage and grace, Janice lived life to the fullest and she lived life well.
A memorial service will be held Saturday March 6th, 11:00AM, at Riviera United Church of Christ 451 Riviera Drive NE, Palm Bay, Florida 32905.
