Janet Wishart Underwood

Janet was born Dec 19, 1923 in Winnipeg, Canada. Her parents were Robert Still and Christina Wishart both from Scotland.

They moved to Detroit soon after Janet was born. She was raised there along with four brothers and two sisters. Her mother died in 1940 when Janet was 17. Her brother Robert died in a car accident in 1943.

She started work at 18 at the beginning of WWII, for Burroughs Adding Machine, where she worked until retiring after 40 years.

She married Gerald Underwood in 1950. They were married for 65 years. Gerald died in March 2015.

They retired to Palm Bay Florida in the early 1980s. She enjoyed her retirement playing golf and cards as well as quilting.

She is survived by two sisters Helen Trailer and Christine Patton.
