Born in Weston, West Virginia, he was the son of Paul Jarvis and Evelyn Marks. He was a graduate of Greenbrier Military School in Lewisburg West Virginia. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was employed by Monsanto as a health Physicist from 1964 until his retirement in 1992.
He was member of the NRA and the American Legion, and a devoted parishioner of Bethany Church in Melbourne, Florida. He absolutely loved the outdoors! He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and fishing.
Jack was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a kind, generous, helpful, and loving man.
He is survived by his loving wife Naomi; three children: Nanette Church (David), Brian Jarvis (Kim), and Alan Jarvis (Connie); his five grandchildren: Melanie Higaki, Caylin Barnard, Hilary Jarvis, Dakota Church, and Zackary Church; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Bobby Jarvis and Greg Jarvis.
He was predeceased by both of his parents; his step-mother, Marie Jarvis; his sister, Joycelyn; and his granddaughter, Laura Jarvis.
A memorial service will be held on January 6th, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Bethany Church, 1100 Dorchester Avenue, Melbourne, Florida 32904.
