Gladys Marie Richardson

Gladys is the beloved wife of 52 years to Steven “Buddy” Richardson, loving mother of Steven Michael Richardson of Anchorage, Alaska and Stephanie Michelle Foster of Deltona, Florida; loving grandmother to six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Other survivors include her sister Reba Scott of Sebastian, Florida and brother Oma Buckner, Jr. of Welch, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father Oma Buckner, Sr., mother Emma Buckner, and brother Raymond Buckner.

Gladys was born on Ap[ril 18, 1937 in Elkhorn, West Virginia. She attended McLaines Business College in Bluefield, West Virginia and graduated in 1957 with an AA in Business Administration.

Before moving to Sebastian, Florida in August 2010, Gladys and Buddy lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina for approximately 40 years. Gladys was a well-respected real estate broker in Fayetteville for many years. She was also a beloved member and Queen of the Red Hat Society both in Fayetteville and Sebastian.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Gladys' life will be conducted by Pastor Ron Barber at Community Baptist Church Teen Center, 12534 Roseland Road, Sebastian, Florida on Wednesday, November 6th, 2013 at 1:00 pm.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fountainhead Funeral Home and Gladys' final resting place will be at Fountainhead Memorial Park.
