Rev. George Edwin “Bud” Kenyon, Jr., 83, of Melbourne died Monday (12/1/2014) at his home. A native of Jamaica, New York he retired in Melbourne in 1995 from Albany, New York. Bud received his BA Degree in Psychology & Sociology from Wagner College, Staten Island, NY and then his Masters of Divinity Degree from Mt. Airy Seminary and was ordained into the ministry in 1956.
Bud worked tirelessly for the Lutheran Ministry and had been a Home Mission Developer of ELCA forming the congregation of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Loudonville, NY. His last commitment prior to retiring was as the Pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Albany New York. He was certified as Hospital Chaplain from Andover Newton, Mass, and served as director of Pastoral Care at Albany Memorial in Albany, NY.
Preceded in death by his first wife Rosemary Edwards Kenyon and sister Joyce Carmel; he is survived by his wife Sandra; son: George Kenyon of Saratoga, NY; daughters: Susan Kenyon of Deerfield Beach, Beth Rappazzo of Casselton, NY; step children: Brian Frasier of Mechanicville, NY, Greg Frasier of Albany, NY, Duane Miller of Palm Bay, Cindy Rogers of Blairsville, GA; seven grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; one great grandchild; and six step-great grandchildren.
