Edna E. Jones, 88, of Melbourne died Saturday (11/2) at the Wuesthoff Hospital. A native of Central City, Kentucky she came to the Melbourne area in 1968 from Germany. A veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the DAV Women’s Auxiliary, Edna had worked at the Patrick Air Force Base Exchange for 33 years. She had been well known at the Exchange and always be cheerful and smiling. Edna enjoyed bowling and would bowl with her league every chance she got. She had been a member of the Northland Church Distributed located in Orlando.
Survivors include her son: Robert (Melody) of Melbourne; daughters: Sandra White of Burke, VA, Dianna (Jerry) Rickard of Palm Bay, Deborah Rodriguez of Melbourne; sister: Thelma Bocken of Texas; 8 grandchildren: Melanie (Weldon) Wirick, Jennifer (Garry) Noel, Jerry Rickard, Derek (Leslie) Rickard, Rodney (Stephanie) Rodriguez, Joshua, Cody, and Lea; 8 great-grandchildren: Alexes Rodriguez, Tyler Wirick, Addison Wirick, Christopher Rickard, Ava Rickard, Ashlee Rickard, Caitlyn Noel, and Hadley Noel.
Friends may call at Fountainhead Funeral Chapel Friday (11/8) from 10:00 until time of service. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM at the Chapel with Entombment following in Fountainhead Memorial Park.
