Donald M. Smith, 86, of Barefoot Bay, Florida passed away on February 19th, 2018 at Sebastian River Medical Center. He was the husband of Lorraine Smith. They shared 37 wonderful years of marriage together.
Born on November 22nd, 1931 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, he was the son of Merlin Smith and Viola Gordon.
He enlisted in the army in 1950 then switched to the air force in 1954. He fought in the Korean War and Vietnam War. He proudly served his country for many years, retiring in 1971.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine; his children: Donna Kendall, Bonnie Dunaway, Ronald (Patti) Smith, Lynn (Michael) Pantos, Mark (Debi-jo) Lamb, Chris Lamb, and Jeff (Gina) Lamb; 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Space Coast Veterans Administration: 400 Sykes Creek Parkway, Merritt Island, Florida 32952.
